Privacy policy

This is a translation of the German privacy policy. If the two differ, the German version prevails.

2. Principle

Tangenta works without a user account. We do not collect names, email addresses or location data. Your progress (records, stardust, unlocked satellites, streak) is stored only locally on your device and may be part of your device backup (iCloud or Google).

3. In-app purchases

Purchases are handled by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We do not receive payment data. To verify and restore purchases we use the service RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc., USA). This processes a random, pseudonymous user ID, purchase receipts, device type and country. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract). 4. Advertising (Google AdMob)

The free version shows ads through Google AdMob (Google Ireland Ltd.). AdMob may process advertising IDs, IP address and device information to deliver and measure ads. Personalized ads are shown only with your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you give in the consent dialog at first launch and can withdraw at any time in the shop under “Privacy options”. On iOS we additionally ask through App Tracking Transparency. At first launch we ask whether you are 16 or older. This answer is stored only locally on your device. Under 16, we show only non-personalized ads, do not ask for consent to personalized advertising and skip the App Tracking prompt. Without consent, too, only non-personalized ads are shown. The age information is self-declared. Anyone who buys “Remove Ads” sees no interstitial ads. Google's privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.

5. Leaderboards (Game Center / Google Play Games)

If you are signed in to Game Center (Apple) or Google Play Games, the app sends your scores and achievements to that service. The privacy terms of Apple or Google apply.

6. No usage analytics

We do not use any analytics or tracking services in the app and do not evaluate your play behavior.

7. Notifications

Reminders about your streak are scheduled locally on the device. No data is sent to us for this. You can turn off notifications in the system settings at any time.

8. Transfers to third countries

RevenueCat, Google and Cloudflare may process data in the USA. The transfer relies on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or EU standard contractual clauses.

9. Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection, and the right to withdraw consent you have given. You can lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. You delete local game data by uninstalling the app.

10. Children

Tangenta has an age rating of 4+ and can be used by children. We do not collect names or account data. Under 16, only non-personalized ads are shown (see section 4).

11. Website and contact form

When you visit this website, the hosting provider processes technically necessary access data (IP address, time, page requested, browser) in server log files. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (secure and stable operation). Hosting provider: Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA (Cloudflare Pages). The website sets no cookies and does not embed fonts, scripts or content from third parties.

The contact form itself does not send any data to a server. It opens your mail app with a prepared message to work.breit@gmail.com. Only when you send it from there do we receive your name, email address and message, which we use to handle your request (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR) and then delete once the request is settled and no retention duties apply. The same applies to requests by email.
